In May 2025, the Government Committee for Strategic Projects assigned Growthfund’s Project Preparation Facility (PPF) the responsibility for the preparation and tendering of projects with a total budget of €1.3 billion by 2030, for the implementation of the plan developed by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport for the structural upgrade of the railway network.
These are flagship infrastructure projects that will modernise the Greek railway system, addressing long-standing structural deficiencies and contributing to safer and more reliable transport services.
