This programme, implemented by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, has a total budget of €400 million. It includes critical procurements such as the acquisition of offshore patrol vessels exceeding 80 meters in length, coastal patrol vessels and high-speed interceptor boats, UAV drones, as well as the modernisation of the national VTMIS system, among others.
Growthfund has completed the public consultation procedures for a series of actions under the programme, and in early 2026 the first tenders were published.
The programme includes the procurement of 2 offshore patrol vessels over 80 meters, 6 coastal patrol vessels of 30 meters, and 10 high-speed interceptor boats of 18 meters.
