These facilities will be located on a site of approximately 100,000 square meters on the premises of the former American military camp in Aspropyrgos, Attica.<br \/>\nThe project will be implemented through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Estimated budget: \u20ac617 million (excluding VAT).<\/li>\n<li>Total duration of the PPP contract: 30 years.<\/li>\n<li>Contracting Authority: Ministry of Citizen Protection.<\/li>\n<li>Tendering Authority: Hellenic Corporation of Assets and Participations (HCAP), specifically through its Strategic Contracts Unit (PPF).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Progress<\/strong><br \/>\nThe tender process was launched by the Strategic Contracts Unit in August 2023. In October 2023, four investment consortia expressed interest in the project (listed in alphabetical order):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>AVAX S.A.<\/li>\n<li>AKTOR CONCESSIONS S.A.<\/li>\n<li>GEK TERNA S.A.<\/li>\n<li>MYTILINEOS S.A. \u2013 GROUP OF COMPANIES<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Significance<\/strong><br \/>\nThe relocation of Korydallos Prison to Aspropyrgos marks a key step in the Ministry of Citizen Protection\u2019s strategy for the penitentiary system reform.
